Key Responsibilities:

? Administration variety of UNIX hardware, ranging from high-end, partitionable servers to low end servers
? Monitor system performance and capacity. Plan and implement system upgrades.
? Keep the environment compliant with corporate standards and policies (incl. systems security)
? Implement, test and document Disaster Recovery procedures
? Resolve and document system/infrastructure failures (incl. root cause identification/analysis)
? Carry out daily health checks on systems
? Platform infrastructure package/patch installation and validation
? Application Deployments (e.g. Post O/S builds, Middleware)
? Liaise with all areas of Technology Infrastructure, Application Development and Support
? Provide out of hours support on a Shift Rota basis (Primary and Backup)
? Provide onsite cover at weekends to perform software releases, upgrades or to support business acceptance testing and Disaster Recovery tests.
